Dr. Chukwuma Apakama is a board-certified weight loss specialist and surgeon of excellence with fellowship training in bariatric, advanced laparoscopic, robotic surgery, and surgical critical care. His expertise in treating complex cases makes him a trusted choice for patients seeking specialized surgical care.

With over a decade of experience across three continents, Dr. Apakama trained in the UK before advancing his career in the U.S., completing his general surgery residency at Columbia University and fellowships at Washington University in St. Louis and Cleveland Clinic Florida.

He specializes in minimally invasive bariatric procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, revisional bariatric surgery, duodenal switch, and gastric balloon. His dedication to innovation and excellence ensures the best outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Chukwuma Apakama is a dedicated surgeon specializing in minimally invasive techniques, ensuring faster recovery, minimal pain, and shorter hospital stays for his patients.
